Decco inaugurated a new factory in Brazil on October 27. The ceremony, held in Ituverava, was attended by the mayor of the town as well as other government officials and several representatives of local universities. The new facilities are the only ones in the country capable of emulsifying polyethylene and shellac waxes in compliance with both domestic and export market legislation. Likewise, the new factory will be capable of supplying the Mercosur markets.

In recent years, Decco has allocated significant resources to develop the Latin American markets, resulting in significant achievements, both in sales and market shares. The recent inauguration of its own production factory in Brazil is yet another example that the commitment to emerging countries is always present in Decco's strategy, constantly supporting markets with little, or even no post-harvest treatment philosophy, to adopt this technology in order to increase their competitiveness and profitability. “The investment in Brazil represents a very interesting development for Decco in a key region for the growth of the company” adds François Girin, President & CEO of Decco Worldwide.

Decco is the post-harvest division of UPL Limited, a global group in the field of agricultural supplies that also has plant protection products and seed treatments. The strategic support of UPL Limited, present in 123 countries and with 23 factories distributed throughout the world, represents a competitive advantage both for Decco and for its clients and strategic partners.
